BBC One has announced a slew of guest stars – including Lorraine McIntosh and Dylan Blore – to feature in the eighth series of crime drama, Shetland.

The new series will see Met Police Inspector Ruth Calder (Ashley Jensen) return to her native Shetland to retrieve vulnerable witnesses to a gangland murder.

The series will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.
